Dialogue 1

甲:陈小姐,你现在有工作吗?
jiǎ : chén xiǎo jiě , nǐ xiàn zài yǒu gōng zuò ma ?

乙:有。
yǐ : yǒu .

甲:你做什么工作?
jiǎ : nǐ zuò shén me gōng zuò ?

乙:我在一家建筑事务所做文秘。
yǐ : wǒ zài yī jiā jiàn zhù shì wù suǒ zuò wén mì .

甲:听上去工作不错啊。你为什么要跳槽呢?
jiǎ : tīng shàng qù gōng zuò bù cuò a . nǐ wèi shén me yào tiào cáo ne ?

乙:说不清,不过总的来说,我想面对更多的挑战。
yǐ : shuō bù qīng , bù guò zǒng de lái shuō , wǒ xiǎng miàn duì gèng duō de tiǎo zhàn .

A: Miss Chen, are you currently employed?
B: Yes.
A: What's your job?
B: I'm a secretary at an architect.
A: That sounds like a pretty good job. Why do you want to change your job?
B: It's hard to tell, but generally speaking, I want to meet more challenges.

Dialogue 2

甲:这次旅行真是又漫长又枯燥,是吗?
jiǎ : zhè cì lǚ xíng zhēn shì yòu màn cháng yòu kū zào , shì ma ?

乙:对我来说不是。我经常乘火车旅行。
yǐ : duì wǒ lái shuō bù shì . wǒ jīng cháng chéng huǒ chē lǚ xíng .

甲:真的吗?你做什么的?
jiǎ : zhēn de ma ? nǐ zuò shén me de ?

乙:我是一名推销员。
yǐ : wǒ shì míng tuī xiāo yuán .

甲:这个工作挺辛苦的。你得去好很多地方才能找到更多的客户。
jiǎ : zhè gè gōng zuò tǐng xīn kǔ de . nǐ děi qù hěn duō dì fāng cái néng zhǎo dào gèng duō de kè hù .

乙:那倒是。不过我喜欢。
yǐ : nà dào shì . bù guò wǒ xǐ huān .

A: It's a long and boring journey, isn't it?
B: Not for me. I always travel by train.
A: Really? What's your job?
B: I'm a salesman.
A: It's not an easy job. You'll have to travel a lot to find more customers.
B: That's for sure. But I enjoy doing it.

Dialogue 3

甲:你看上去像是名职业女性。你是做什么的?
jiǎ : nǐ kàn shàng qù xiàng shì míng zhí yè nǚ xìng . nǐ shì zuò shén me de ?

乙:我在一家外资银行里做会计。
yǐ : wǒ zài yī jiā wài zī yín háng lǐ zuò kuài jì .

甲:这个工作对女性来说挺合适的。
jiǎ : zhè gè gōng zuò duì nǚ xìng lái shuō tǐng hé shì de .

乙:当然。我喜欢。
yǐ : dāng rán . wǒ xǐ huān .

A: you look like a career woman. What's your job?
B: I'm an accountant at a foreign bank.
A: That is a good job for a lady, isn't is?
B: You bet. I like it.
