Dialogue 1

甲:莉莉,你昨天给我打电话了吗?
jiǎ :lì li ,nǐ zuó tiān gěi wǒ dǎ diàn huà le ma ?

乙:我打了,只是我打不通。
yǐ :wǒ dǎ le ,zhǐ shì wǒ dǎ bù tōng 。

甲:你是什么时候打的电话?
jiǎ :nǐ shì shén me shí hòu dǎ de diàn huà ?

乙:我一上午都在打。
yǐ :wǒ yī shàng wǔ dōu zài dǎ 。

甲:那我不明白你怎么就打不通呢?
jiǎ :nà wǒ bù míng bái nǐ zěn me jiù dǎ bù tōng ne ?

乙:我一直接到的是占线的声音。你的电话一定是坏了。
yǐ :wǒ yī zhí jiē dào de shì zhàn xiàn de shēng yīn 。nǐ de diàn huà yí dìng shì huài le 。


A: Lily, did you call me yesterday?
B: Yes, I did, but I couldn't get through.
A: What time did you call?
B: I tried the whole morning.
A: Then, I can't understand why you couldn't get through.
B: I kept getting a busy signal. Your telephone must be out of order.

 

Dialogue 2

甲:特德,你昨天晚上给我打电话了吗?
jiǎ :tè dé ,nǐ zuó tiān wǎn shàng gěi wǒ dǎ diàn huà le ma ?

乙:打了。可是我打不通。电话总占线。
yǐ : dǎ le 。kě shì wǒ dǎ bù tōng 。diàn huà zǒng zhàn xiàn 。

甲:你肯定你拨打号码是对的吗?
jiǎ :nǐ kěn dìng nǐ bō dǎ hào mǎ shì duì de ma ?

乙:当然。你肯定你的电话是好的吗?
yǐ :dāng rán 。nǐ kěn dìng nǐ de diàn huà shì hǎo de ma ?

甲:这一点是毫无疑问的。我想那一定是我儿子当时在打电话。
jiǎ :zhè yì diǎn shì háo wú yí wèn de 。wǒ xiǎng nà yí dìng shì wǒ ér zi dāng shí zài dǎ diàn huà 。

乙:有可能。
yǐ : yǒu kě néng 。


A: Ted, did you call me last night?
B: Yes, but I couldn't get through. The line was always busy.
A: Are you sure you dialed the right number?
B: Yes, of course. Are you sure your telephone was all right?
A: There is no doubt about that. I bet it was my son who was on the phone at that time.
B: Possibly.

 

Dialogue 3

甲:你好,深圳湾酒店。要我帮忙吗?
jiǎ :nǐ hǎo ,shēn zhèn wān jiǔ diàn 。yào wǒ bāng máng ma ?

乙:是的,我想跟你们的预定处联络,可是我打不通他们的直线电话。
yǐ : shì de ,wǒ xiǎng gēn nǐ men de yù dìng chǔ lián luò ,kě shì wǒ dǎ bù tōng tā men de zhí xiàn diàn huà 。

甲:等一等。我给你接过去。
jiǎ : děng yī deng 。wǒ gěi nǐ jiē guò qù 。

乙:谢谢你。
yǐ : xiè xie nǐ 。

A: Hello, Shenzhen Bay Hotel. May I help you?
B: Yes, I'm trying to call your Reservation Office, but I couldn't get through on their direct line.
A: Hold on, please. I'll put you through.
B: Thank you.
